Innocent: A Spirit of Resilience

Laliya Primary School has new books! Thanks to Innocent’s fundraising effort, the library of his childhood school has been successfully replenished and the students no longer need to share books at 5-6 students per book. Special thanks to all who contributed! This project will have both an immediate and a lasting positive impact in the lives of so many children in Northern Uganda. 💜

Innocent: A Spirit of Resilience

Last week, Innocent was invited back to Berlin to deliver the final presentation and petition for World Vision’s campaign titled, “No Child Wants to Kill.” The presentation was shared with many honored guests, including Virginia Gamba, United Nations Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict; CEO of World Vision Germany; members of the German parliament; and the German Minister for Arms & Defense. The guests gave Innocent a roaring round of applause for his courage, resilience and tireless efforts to raise awareness and bring about positive change.
.
The event proved especially meaningful for Innocent, as World Vision operated the rehabilitation center where he received crucial counseling and support after escaping rebel capture & fleeing the war when he was only 10 years old.
